Please find below details of an Employers Challenge day to be held at Raglan Barracks Newport on Sat 12 May 12. EXERCISE  EMPLOYERS CHALLENGE – 12 MAY 12

 1.  On behalf of the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Phil Shepheard-Walwyn MBE RA I would like to invite you, and members of your organisation to an Employers Challenge day to be held at Raglan Barracks, Newport, Gwent on Saturday the 12th of May 2012. The event has been organised as part of this unit’s ongoing commitment to supporting Employers and the local community. The day is expected to last approximately 7 hours from 10 am until 5 pm.
2.  The aim of Exercise EMPLOYERS CHALLENGE is to identify and develop leadership amongst individuals from your organisation within a challenging military environment. The day will also be an ideal opportunity to increase the awareness of the Territorial Army and in particular 104 Regiment Royal Artillery (Volunteers) including its role and function and the opportunities it offers within the local community.
3.  The day will be open to individuals or teams (a max of 8 per organisation) to participate in a number of leadership tasks that will enhance both leadership and communication skills. There will also be a number of military equipment stands that depict the role of the Regiment in its combat role within the Army structure.
4.  Individuals selected by organisations to participate in this event should be dressed in suitable attire that will enable them to conduct physical activities. As a suggestion, tracksuits/sweat shirts and training shoes would be beneficial. Individuals may get dirty!
5.  A packed meal will be provided for lunch with hot and cold drinks also available on the day. On completion of all events there will be a presentation of a small trophy to the most competitive team of the day. To complete the day there will be a well earned hot buffet type meal. This will be an ideal opportunity for individuals to talk to serving members of the regiment about their experiences during their time with the Territorial Army.

Yours Sincerely
Gareth Dibble
