Interested in studying medicine?

Dr Susan Pugh will lead a twilight collaborative tutorial guiding prospective Year 12 Medicine applicants on how to write their personal statements on Thursday 28th June at 4.00pm in the sixth form common room at Caerleon Comprehensive School. If you would like to attend, please let me know by Monday 25th June.

University of Glamorgan - Year 12 Residential Course

First Campus will be holding a 2 day, 1 night residential for Year 12 students interested in studying STEM subjects at University providing a taste of the variety of courses they could go on to study in higher education; subjects are to be confirmed but could include maths, computing, chemistry and forensic science. The residential will also include sessions on finance and other issues as well as a feel for living in halls of residence. They will experience both the academic and social side of University while mixing with students from a number of other schools and colleges.

Students will stay in the brand new Halls of Residence on the Treforest Campus at the University of Glamorgan. Campus facilities will be used for classes and meals and there will be a disco in the Student’s Union in the evening. The residential is totally free of charge to the students participating; they will only have to buy their own (non-alcoholic) drinks at the SU bar in the evening. Transport will be provided to and from your institution. We would also like to extend the invitation to two members of staff from your institution.

Looking for work?

Welsh Bacc Week for Year 12 into 13

All year 12 students begin Year 13 today with the first day of the WBQ week. Attendance throughout the week is compulsory.
 Please make sure you sign the attendance register in the Library each day.
